The Mary Virginia Merrick, founder of the National Christ Child Society, is a candidate for canonization. Even though she was paralyzed as a teen, she has had a great impact on thousands of people through her witness and deep love and devotion for the Christ Child and her Catholic faith.
In order for Mary Virginia to become a saint, two miracles must be attributed to her intercession, one for beatification and one for canonization. An investigation into how she lived a “heroic, virtuous life.”
